The Cleveland Cavs on March 5, 2010, set a Guinness World Record for the “largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets.” Now we hope you know when they say “fleece blankets” they mean Snuggie blankets.
The crowd of 24,000+ were provided Snuggie blankets prior to the game, compliments of the Cleveland Cavaliers and KeyBank. According to the AP, the players were provided custom printed Snuggie blankets, including Shaquille O’Neal who required extra material to fit his larger than average frame.
